We’ve all heard it before: “Do as I say and not as I do.”
I know that world is different nowadays - especially the business world. Social media plays an ever-increasing role in the corporate world. And I get it. I really do. I’m very proud of our team in the way we share ideas, tips, and holiday messages.
But it’s just not my personal style.
I have a lot of different interests and hobbies. Here they are in no particular order:
My work, my family, my faith, fishing, hunting, writing and playing music, collecting music, playing cards, going to sporting events, socializing, golfing, and general tomfoolery.
For whatever reason, I sometimes cringe when my world’s collide. And social media just makes things collide at a faster pace. I understand some people want to bring all of their worlds together. But I like having my interests compartmentalized. For now, I don’t want to put myself out there. But maybe someday I will.
I’m sure I’ll have a massive legion of followers and friends and thumbs-uppers who would just love to see what I’m eating and drinking and catching and shooting and writing. Or not.

ps - I somehow have a LinkedIn page with one connection. Be right back…I’m gonna let them know about my first blog post.
